- Inverted line-up for second heat race -
-"A" feature will be determined by finish of both heats -

RACE PROCEDURES

LINE UPS AND RACE PROCEDURES:
Once the karts have been staged on the starting grid, any empty spots will be filled by rearranging field in correct running order. If a spin out or collision causes a yellow flag before the 1st lap is completed, karts will return to original lineup for restart. If a spin out or collision causes a yellow flag after the 1st lap is completed, karts will line up in their current running order, but in single file. Kart accidents/incidents on the track: ALL of the karts involved in the incident will start at the back of the field on the restart. If you are involved in the incident do not expect to "get your spot back" . Note, this rule " doesn't" state who caused the yellow, it says, "all karts involved", including karts that spun to avoid the incident.

If track conditions warrant a yellow or red flag, scorers will immediately stop scoring.  The race will restart with the running order from the lap before. If the leader takes the white flag and a caution is warranted, field will be reset in single file with karts causing caution moved to rear of field.  The field will then restart with green flag displayed. If the leader takes the checkered flag and an accident happens, karts will be scored as they cross the finish line.

FLAGS AND LIGHTS
The following flag and light colors are used throughout an event.

Green - Beginning of the race, track is safe and clear.
Yellow - Reduce speeds and maintain positions.

***********************************************************************
DO NOT RACE UNDER A YELLOW FLAG CONDITION!
DO NOT PASS OTHER KARTS DURING A YELLOW!

***********************************************************************
Red - Emergency on track.  All karts are to come to a safe stop immediately.
Black - (Rolled up) - warning to driver.  (Stretched out)- pull off track immediately.
White - Last lap, one lap left to race.
Black & White Checkered - Race is complete.
DO NOT RACE BACK TO THE PITS ONCE YOU HAVE CROSSED THE FINISH LINE

Parents/ Representatives of a go-kart are not allowed on the race track during a race. Anyone crossing the race track during a race will be disqualified for that race. Any go-kart that causes a red flag due to mechanical reasons will restart in last position. If the same kart brings out another red flag due to mechanical resons, then will be sent to pit area. A 3-minute mechanical repair period under red is allowed prior to the start or restart of the race.  Work on the go-kart must be done in the pit area (not on the race track).  After the green flag is dropped, no kart will be permitted to enter the race until the next caution flag is dropped.

Any go-kart losing fuel will be disqualified from race for safety reasons. The front 2 go-karts are responsible for an even-slow start of the race.  Any go-kart jump starting a race 2 times will be moved back one row.

TECH INSPECTION & PROTESTS

All Protests must be submitted to the Race Director PRIOR to the beginning of the A-feature race for that class and the protestor must pay a $50.00 protest fee in CASH only (no checks). The protest must specify EXACTLY what is being protested – Generic protest complaints (such as “illegal motor”) will not be accepted without providing a specific complaint/protest as to what is “illegal”. In the event that the engine fails tech or the kart owner refuses to be teched, that kart and driver will forfeit any and all points for that race event. If the protested item is found legal and incompliance with JSJJ Speedway Rules, $40.00 of the fee will go to the kart/team being teched. If the protested item is found to be illegal, $40.00 will be returned to the protestor, and the protested Kart Driver will forfeit all accumulated points for that night of racing.  $10.00 from the Protest Fee will be paid directly to the tech official regardless.
